This lady sold me some coupons online for a free package of Huggies diapers. And the coupon states not to exceed the amount of $26.99. It’s for a free box of diapers free with no purchased needed. I gave one of my friends the coupons to go get some diapers for me at Walmart, and Walmart told him that these coupons are not allowed and he had to sign a paper that he is never allowed in a Walmart again and how they want to run an investigation on this. I have used them before at HEB, Kmart and Target..This is pretty scary, I had no clue the coupons were copies…What do you think??? I am scared, this is not my fault. I dont have any proof because the emails that i sent to the lady and the ones that she sent back to me are erased since they from way earlier this year..I had her address and name but I threw the envelope that the coupons came in, away.

Sounds pretty harsh on your friend, considering he was doing you a favor, so technically it is your fault. If you bought them from ebay, contact ebay, they should have records of the listing, and the seller. That should keep you out of trouble, and hopefully get your friend out of trouble with walmart. You should always keep records, you never know what’s going to happen.

how were you able to use the coupons? when you redem them dont they take the coupon away from you? was it more than one coupon? have u looked in your deleted mail to see if you could pull the emails back up? were they on a piece of paper or were the glossy like a coupon? i would wait to see if they are going to investigate on this

It may not be your fault the coupons are fake, however the way the retailer looks at it is that the coupons came from you and were fake regardless of how you got them you tried to use them. So in this case you need to allow them access to your computer because even though those e-mails were erased a professional can retreive them. Good luck,

If you are not guilty, then you will have nothing to hide. Just be cooperative and tell the truth.

As a side note, Walmart *****. They are going to open an investiagation over $27 so that they can sue for millions. Why can’t they give them the benefit of the doubt.

Unfortunately there are a lot of coupon frauds out there. My husband took one into Starbucks and again they wanted to run an investigation. My son belonged to a coupon club on line and was paying $10.00 a month to use it and it was one of their coupons.

You may have used them in the past but the clerk didn’t know any better and perhaps it got caught up in alerting the employees when they did find out they were fraudulent. Sorry that your friend had to sign not being able to enter the store. I think that I would have protested under false pretenses. I don’t know if you could take the computer in and see if it could be retrieved due to investigation but worth a try. If nothing else to clear your friend’s name. Unfortunately innocent people get caught up in things they unknowingly were committing any crime.
